Experience Indicator updates in surveys

At HappySignals, we’re continuously improving the platform to keep it valuable and relevant for our users. In rare cases updates include Experience Indicators (previously called "Factors") used in surveys.

These updates are based on feedback, data, highlighting opportunities to make the surveys even more meaningful.

Changes are typically small and fall into two categories:

  • Removal of an Experience Indicator

  • Rewording to improve clarity or tone

These updates help ensure that feedback stays insightful and aligned with how your employees experience IT.

When an Experience Indicator is removed

When we remove old Experience Indicators from new surveys, they are not removed from the analytics. This means that if you’re viewing feedback that included a now-removed indicator, it will still appear in your analytics.

For most users — who typically don’t adjust the time selector — this applies to feedback from the last 60 days.

What if only the wording changed?

In some cases, Experience Indicators remain the same, but the question wording has been updated. When this happens:

  • There is no duplicate indicator in the analytics.

  • The new wording is applied retroactively to all historical feedback.
