Ticket-based IT Experience 1.5.0 for ServiceNow Release - 15 May 2023

This release includes upgrades to application tables, changes to properties to simplify application configuration, and more.

*For ServiceNow Administrators, read this deep-dive guide on how to update the application to version 1.5.0 in your ServiceNow instance.

New application menu structure

We've cleaned up the application menu structure and updated some menu section names to be more descriptive. The following changes were made:

  • Renamed "Email Properties" ➡ "Data Properties":
The new section name is more reflective of the properties in this section, which focus on defining what data you are sending to HappySignals.
  • Removed "HappySignals Monthly Stats" menu item :
We've deprecated the Monthly Stats table as it is no longer useful, since more advanced capabilities are now available on HappySignals Platform for measuring response rate. The underlying table still exists, but we've deactivated the link to it under the application menu.

Changes in application System Properties and their Categories

We've made some changes to System Property Categories, which can be found under General Properties and Data Properties. This includes changes to default values and updated property descriptions, which will make it easier for you to configure your application.

Read the Update Guide for full details on the changes made to properties.

New fields added to HappySignals Feedback table and improved default view

We've added the following new fields to the HappySignals Feedbacks table. We also rethought the list and form structure for the feedback views.

Field

Description

Answered Date and time when the response was recorded on HappySignals Platform.

Mood

The mood of the response is based on the NPS style calculation e.g. 0 - 6 negative, 7 - 8 neutral, and 9 - 10 positive.

Related Table

Name of the table where the ticket that triggered the survey originated from.
Related Record Reference to the record which triggered the survey.

Agent Feedback Widget content is now customizable and supports additional record types

You can now edit the content displayed on the Agent Feedback widget by defining custom views for different record types. The widget can also display data about tickets beyond the default incident and request tables.

Better support for integrations with non-default tables

The application now supports easier integration setup for non-default tables (incident and requested items). This makes it easier to start measuring new ticket types, such as Interactions.

Deprecated Monthly Stats table

We've deprecated the Monthly Stats table as it is no longer useful, since more advanced capabilities are now available on HappySignals Platform for measuring response rate.

This deprecated table previously collected rudimentary reporting statistics about how many times HappySignals response links were generated each month.
